KUROZ HOUSE | WAHROONGA
Tucked discreetly behind the heritage list ‘Craignairn’ within a battle-axe lot in Wahroonga, this contemporary new dwelling showcases how thoughtful architectural design can transform a challenging site into a private, light-filled family home.
The design embraces the unique conditions of the site, carefully planning access, orientation and spatial layout to create a sense of openness and retreat. At its core is a highly resolved open plan living, kitchen and dining space that connects seamlessly to outdoor entertaining areas and a new swimming pool, offering a calm, resort-like environment ideal for modern family living.
The resulting architectural design plays on a juxtaposition of built elements, the floating roof forms, heavy masonry walls and glazing are placed together to define this contemporary residence. Despite the constraints of the battle-axe configuration, the home feels expansive, functional and deeply connected to its landscaped surrounds.
This Wahroonga project demonstrates the value of engaging an experienced architect to navigate complex sites and unlock their full potential. Through considered architectural design, the result is a bespoke residence that delivers both lifestyle and long-term value for homeowners in Sydney’s Upper North Shore.
Our engaged services extended to all phases of the project including interior design & contract administration of the ABIC-SW construction contract on site.
