This urban site was steeply sloping across the site and bushfire prone which posed some unique design challenges. The client brief was for a substantial five bedroom traditionally style home with basement carpark. The resulting design is a three-storey house which carefully encloses rooms within the roof so that it presents almost as a single storey from the front. The design presents with a symmetrical gable roof and wrap around verandah and maintains a consistency with the surrounding streetscape. The use of fire resistance materials ensured the project is a bushfire safe house design.

Our engaged services extended to preparing the concept design, architectural documentation and project management of the consultancy team for the Development Application and Construction Certificate.
