DENMAN VILLAS
For this project we were engaged by a local community organisation to design and develop a group of architectural dwellings in the historically important Denman village. The property was in a heritage conservation area (HCA) and the design needed to be accessible so that it could act as independent living units for people with a disability, possibly as a group home. Our design is inspired by the proportions of a traditional iconic Australian bungalow which has been reassembled in a contemporary form. The front verandah is an outdoor room whist the walls are a mix of white-washed brickwork and timber panelling.
Our engaged services extended to preparing the concept design and the associated architectural documentation.
