DARLINGHURST MIXED USE

This project contains two existing Victorian terraces in a heritage conservation area (HCA).The architectural brief was to retain the terraces and under the Affordable Housing SEPP to design a new seven storey mixed use development with a boarding house behind with rear lane access. The architectural design was challenged by a highly constricted site with a narrow frontage, minimal solar access, heritage restrictions and access limited to the rear lane. The resulting design proudly addresses the verticality of the site in its city context whilst harmonising with the conservative street vernacular.

Our engaged services extended to preparing the concept design, architectural documentation and project management of the consultancy team for the Development Application.
