5-7 ROHINI STREET

The client’s brief was to create a new commercial retail building in the heart of the Turramurra village. Set amongst the bustle of main shopping strip, this project exploits its narrow, corner site. The appealing shop front and innovative laneway arcade at the side of the scheme gestures to the public but also opens the opportunity for more retail tenancies in an otherwise overly deep site. The architectural design pays homage to the two storey heritage facades of the village and included a new café (later converted to a retail shop) at footpath. The interplay of glazing and light steel structure marks an inviting entry to the other retail shops and office suites beyond the street frontage.

Our engaged services extended to preparing the concept design, architectural documentation and project management of the consultancy team for both the Development Application and Construction Certificate.
